A member sent me a picture of a '62 Dream he had back in the day. Picture taken in about 1964. The seat is dark blue on a blue Dream. I was just looking at my parts manuals per my previous post, the seat pictured on the bike is referred to as a "blue" seat in my '64 parts manual (CY724926-B-2L).
The other picture is from ebay auction 160723844348. The tag on the seat is 77200-259-810D which shows as the "blue" seat in my '66 parts manual and crosses to the old part number CY724926-B-1L which is the "light blue" seat in my '64 parts manual.
Both are early seats (though someone cut the front of the mounts on the ebay seat). Aparently dark blue was "blue" in '64 and by '66 light blue was "blue". Anyone have an idea why? Was the dark blue seat not available after '64?

Hmm I don't know about that but I knkow my 1965 Honda Benly has a white seat and it is original to the bike. Here's a picture.
