OK. Got the old taillight bulb out. Seems that the rubber grommet that holds the socket in the taillight assembly has gotten very un-rubber like and would not compress enough to let me push the bulb in to unhook the pins. I finally said the heck with it, put on some grippy gloves and just TURNED it! It came out. I trimmed off some of the grommet and put a new bulb in. Fixed. Now for the headlight. Thinking about doing the removable bulb mod that I've seen on the forum. Debating on a halogen bulb or possibly since the electrical system doesn't seem to be that robust, shall we say, maybe an LED bulb instead.
