Didn’t feel a need to start a new thread. I would greatly appreciate a picture of the "brake switch assembly" on the battery side of someone’s CA78. More so the "linkage" to the shaft attached to the brake on the other side then the actual switch. What I thought was a simple adjustment, has left me thinking in missing parts. I can’t find my darn resto manual for pix so I’m hoping someone has/can take a pic. thanks!

wow thanks ron! would i be pushing it to ask for a pic of the lower part where the spring attaches to the shaft assbly?
I have all the components pictured above. what Im seeing is that when the brake pedal is pushed it rotates the shaft, but the "arm" (comming off the shaft attaching to the spring) only translates to lateral motion not a verticle motion to pull the lever.
thanks again for your help. last thing to do before the bike is registered/inspected.

Here's a couple more pics. The muffler is in the way so it is hard to get a clear shot and laying my head under the muffler doesn't show much. I hope this helps. If not where abouts are you in CT? If you are not too far maybe you could stop by and check it out yourself?

rockin ron! haha your from CT, so you must know "Rocking Ron" on 102.9. that picture is just what i needed, thank you. looks to be a simple fix, i just needed a bench mark as it was (now clear) it was previously installed wrong. i should beable to fix this quick, and still get the bike registered on friday to enjoy the last few weeks of our short season here in CT.
I live in Southbury and work in Chester, if your willing to bear the cold perhaps we could meet for a little cruise on a weekend? If i get a few miles on it first (unknown history of bike and motor) I may be comfortable enough to drive it up to your area. It would be great to meet someone else who dosent think im crazy for loving these bikes. thanks again
