Buck, they look like a bunch of fun guys; me and a couple of my old friends back in the 90's road my dream and a 185 twin star and a Honda trail 90 (did any one know Kawasaki had a trail 90 themselves back in mid 70's--just seen one for the first time last month) all over the back fire roads we have here in rural Western Oregon---it was great, we could ride to the woods then keep going-- in the dry summer time. As long a we didn't hit mud we could climb some steep hills and the low center of gravity of all three bikes made it easier to ride hard ground then my XR's, you could keep your feet on the ground and paddle up and down the hills. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit how bad I treated the old Dream (and the 90 too, but it could take it easier---two speed rear end---don't know why any of the newer dual-purpose bike don't have this feature). Me and my best friend used to have red-neck drag races with his 185 twin; that's were you have an open beer in your hand and if you spill any you loose. Ok if you spilled it down your throat; so we ended up trying to accelerate while gusseling beer. Works till about the 6 or 7th race.
Well now days most of my riding partners are all stove up with that old man ailment:
Death, but I keep drinking my bottled water (that's all my warden allows anymore here at the Big house and walking slow---at least till spring) this year I pray to the Powers That Be that I get at least one and maybe two Dreams running----got to keep moving or that old man ailment may catch me napping :---)
On a more serious note: it looked like the Gas tank was split in the middle so it would only take one tank for two saddle bags; it boggles the mind what things a commonsense approach to styling can produce, Ha.Ha.

Most of the group are from eastern Mississippi but the "Critter Bike" club is growing with new bikes and members adding to the group. They are at Mid Ohio every July and also at Barber's in October. The latest bike being built has a western saddle for a seat and a Briggs&Stratton Pull rope starter added to the rotor on the right side. All a bunch of good guys that ride and enjoy these old bikes. Buck
