Carb is looking much better, waiting for the carb kit so i can swap out the idle jet, the float valve and needle and the bowl gasket.

If I were you I would clean up reuse the original carb parts. The parts in the repop carb kits are no where near the quality of the oem parts.

yeah i know this Donzie, but I need a new needle valve and idle jet, period. These are unusable, the rest is useable however. I awlays try to re use when i can. thnx

fired her up today. runs great. using a stand alone tank. im still cleaning out the original tank. ill post up a vid later.

although im a stock kind of guy these after market pipes sound pretty good.
Bike is running great. now to clean the tank and petcock.

I too am a stock guy also but pipes can be changed with little effort.
When your dream idles does the motor sort of "lope"

yes, with a slight hesitation every 15 strokes or so, just like my other dream. Im about to keep this one for a winter project next year.
