Cool thanks for the info! Is there a specific year I'm looking for? Range I'm looking for or are these not even ca77? Got them off eBay about a year ago.

Looking online they show to be the Sam for all ca77-78? Not sure how the headers could be wrong if so.. Hmmm

Have an extra set of header pipes, would need rechromed to be perfect, but pretty solid. Don't know what to ask them. What's fair ?? Live in WV.

HRH - Those headers do look a little too "loopy" for lack of a better word. Here's a picture of what a stock one looks like. Over the years, the bends did change a little, but I've never run across a set that hit the front suspension. Yours look like they are sticking too far out of the engine though. Are they installed properly? I think I see witness marks where the clamp used to be. Also, if you have stock mufflers, they shouldn't be lining up too well at this point.

Very interesting. Those do look FAR different than mine... I will take them off tonight but I dont think the shims go in a specific way? I dont have the stock muffler but have those knock off pipes for them. They fit fine but you can adjust them during install so probably wouldnt change anything.

Plan is to: 1. remove headers and check install. 2. try to find an extra header which I think I have... Somewhere at least.

I believe you have an early set of CB72/77 downpipes. Are they both the same dimension? CA72/77 are different length side-to-side. Are yours double-wall? Regards, Chase

Also very interesting. Mine are exactly the same side to side and I do not believe they are double walled but I will have to double check that when I get home.
