You bike looks like an early model, like mine. I have a '62. I don't see the squared off shock mounts or turn signals. What year is yours? I hate to drill a hole, but it's only one and the rail just looks nice. I'm jealous that you have the front fender rail! I'm on the lookout for one of those! Here's a pic of mine. (FYI - the pan is underneath just in case....I already fixed the leak!)

Mine is a 63. I've read that 63 was the change year but mine is titled as a 63.

I really like the front gaurd. It's been on along with the others for a long time.
