1966 CA77 Speedometer need info on rebuild source or new1966 CA77 Speedometer need info on rebuild source or newHello,
I have a '66 CA77 Honda Dream. My Speedo broke. Does anyone know if these can be rebuilt. If so, can someone give me a name of a shop that does the rebuild. Any idea of the cost? Does it make sense to buy a new one? What is the best place to buy a new one? Thanks for the help. Try Foreign Speedo Inc. phone # 619-298-5278 in San Diego, Ca..I sent them mine.Had two that did not work and a broken glass so I sent them both and they made one good one and sent me the left over parts back.Cost me about $75. plus shipping out and back.Cost could be more depending on whats wrong and if they have the parts.I have seen new modern repo's on Ebay by Apex cycle I believe.Don't know anything about them though..Hope that helps.Joe
ive got a 1964 ca77, and i couldnt figure out how to get into the speedo. its a sealed unit, unless you can somehow unroll the metal bead from around the glass. i sort of just shot some wd-40 down in there and shook the rust loose, and mines working fine, albeit with some iron-oxide colored numbers.
