Power source '64 CA77

Post by Jethro » Fri Dec 25, 2009 1:49 am

I just got the bike last week and the guy I got it from told me it hasn't ran in about ten years but it ran great last time he had it going. I cleaned the points and the carb. I don't have a battery yet but I hooked up a twelve volt, low amp battery charger to the battery leads and I didn't get anything. No spark and no power anywhere. I tested the fuse and it's good. Will I need to get a battery? (I figured the charger method would work just to get it going.) Any thoughts?

Good deal!
It does feel good to wake up one that has been hibernating!
