Does anyone remanufacture these? The doofus who painted my bike before I owned it obviously didn't do a complete disassembly and painted over the front fender packing and the horn. The horn I'll strip and paint with Krylon, but the sight of that rubber painted white just galls me.
Someone has one on eBay, but I can't bring myself to pay $40 + for a small strip of rubber. Especially not if there's a cheaper alternative.
Anyone?

Fender PackingI have the same problem with my CA77; I don't have one, either, so when the time comes, I'll probably just make one out of something rubbery like car window insulation and GorillaGlue it to the fender..
Re: Front Fender Packing?HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WIH MINE SOMEONE PAINT MINE AS WELL. I USED LAQUER THINNER TO REMOVE THE PAINT. THEN I USED VASEOLINE TO REHYDRATE THE RUBBER AND ALL IS GOOD.
fender packingyeah my hunk of rust (before resto) had a white one (not painted over) but cracked beyond repair, so I bought one on ebay and paid the 40 bucks for it. I know, a lot of money for a rubber liner. Oh well, thats the way it goes sometimes.
