I'm looking for someone in the NC area that would be willing to take my box of CA77 engine parts and make an engine out of them again. Or someone anywhere if I shipped them the sutff. Here is the story. The engine in my 65 was seized. I found a local motorcycle mechanic to take it apart and have the heads bored. I bought oversized pistons to replace the old ones. The problem now is I can't get the guy to put it back together. Iv'e pestered and pleaded, fussed at him and tried to be nice. But it isn't working. Now I am ready to try something else. Anyone know anyone?
Thanks,
Wes Benfield

If all it needs is to be put back together, why not try it yourself? If all the machining is done, you'll save a LOT of money, and learn a lot about the bike; throw it on the bench in the shop, pick your favorite radio station, and discover the Zen of motorcycle maintenence...It's not going to get any 'broker', you know?? :)
If you can build a plastic model, you can work on REAL 'models'...
( Horrible book, btw...not what I expected at all...)

THAT'S the Spirit! Of course, the engine is the best part, *I* believe; you get to get all greasy and mechanic-like...:)
Remember, experience is nothing more than a mistake 'made right...'
(And going by THAT definition, I'm very experienced! :)

Go For it!
