CA77 Stand Bolt

Post by Dr. Frankenstein » Sun Aug 15, 2010 9:37 pm

Does anybody know how the bolt that goes through the frame securing the bike stand to a 1964 CA77E comes out? I've tried tapping on it with a mallet, but it doesn't seem to want to budge...a little more force, maybe...??

Yup-it just slides out. Well, "slides' might not be accurate- mine slid part way, then I needed to insert a screwdriver and apply some persuasion via mallet.

A little bit of heat on the tube that the bolt passes through will reduce the amount of force needed and any consequent damage to the bolt, frame or stand.
