Carb adjustment question?????????
As you look at the screws, it is the one on the left, closest to the engine.
Turn it in all the way till it seats (gently) and back it out 1 1/2 turns.
It controls the amount of air in the idle circuit, so the more you turn it out, the leaner it gets.
You can tweak it from there with the engine warmed up, choke off, by turning in or out 1/4 turn at a time and listen for engine to speed up.
When you find the position that gives max RPM, reverse your last move 1/4 turn.

I just recently learned from reading the original hand book that it is the screw further from the engine in which you want to screw in till it is seated then out about 1 1/8 turns, then the screw closer to the engine to control the idle.......This whole time I was racking my brain, taking my carb in and out about 10 plus times trying to get the perfect settings....atleast 18 plugs etc......All in all it was the wrorng screws I was setting.....I went for my first normal ride today!!!!!!!!
