Throttle Cable Question

Post by Sascha » Tue Nov 30, 2010 11:00 am

Hi guys,

I have run into a snag and I need some expert advice.

So I have replaced my internal throttle with a this throttle (its a twist type, not a pull - Single cable).

I need to get a new cable that will allow me enough exposed cable length to fit this on both the carb and the throttle mount... Found this cable, wondering if you guys know if it will work?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/HONDA-CA72-CA77-drea ... %26ps%3D63

My concern is that this new cable will not have enough exposed cable to be able to mount it on both the throttle and the carb... Anyone have a thought on that?

Thanks,
Sascha

You can always make the exposed portion longer by shortening the housing.
Looks like you should have around 6" from their description.
I think Davemoto had a recent post about his shortening method.

So, im hoping this replacement line will do the trick, I pulled the trigger and got it but ensured that the seller would accept a return for a full refund if it didnt fit first. I will let you know how it goes and if it doesnt work out I may have to go hunting for Davmotos post.
