difference between a ca95 seat and a ca77 seat

Post by dreamrider » Wed Mar 30, 2011 5:32 pm

I bought a seat off the "GREAT EBAY" and it was to be a ca77 seat. It doesn't fit my ca77. The bracket for two rear bolts is about 2" farther back and the bottom of the seat leaves a large air gap between the body and seat the bottom. The seat bottom is falter than my ca77 seat.

Any one can tell me the difference between the two seats ca77 and ca95. Is the "NEW ONE" a ca95 seat??

I just found out the nose of the "new" seat is 2" or so longer than the old ca77 seat so you can't push it on to make the bolt holes line up. That is why the rear bolts are 2" farther back. Also the rear bolt holes in the bracket is narrower than the old seat.

So do I have a ca77 seat that WON'T fit a ca77 or hopefully it's a ca95 seat I might can sell and get some of my money back.

Thanks for the help

Jim

Seat

I asked before in another thread, but will the stainless trim from a CA95 seat fit on a CA77 seat? They seem very close to the same size.

You may want to consider getting a CA77 seat pan and taking all the new parts off the CA95 seat. Depending on what you paid for the CA95 seat, if it all fits it might be a better financial option than trying to buy a CA77 trim piece.

If you try it let everyone know how it works.

I wasn't asking about the chrome but the whole seat. This is a ca95 seat so I'm going to sell it. I had my ca77 seat recovered.
