The machinist tells me I need .25 over pistons for my '65 CA78.
Now I have to mix and match because I can't find anyone with both pistons and rings in that size and at a reasonable price.
Retrobikes has the 13102-266-020. Is that the right piston? I asked Retrobikes which rings fit that piston and was referred to a fiche that wasn't particularly helpful.
What about rings? I can find both 266 rings and 275 rings, both labeled for .25 over CA77, but the more I read the more confused I get. In an earlier post, Loud Mouse said the 275 rings go with the 266 pistons. Huh????? Then are the 266 rings the thicker ones? The 266 rings don't fit the 266 pistons?
Really struggling here. Any help is appreciated.
AAARGH! Need help ordering pistons.
