It's a lead acid battery, non-maintenance free. I would suspect that if your charging system has a habit of over-charging or charging at a higher rate than what a Dream's system puts out, then I can see where boiling over would be a problem. But the charging system on a CA77 is anemic at best.
I have one in my Dream going on 6 months now and I haven't had a problem and I check it regularly. I also maintain it with a float charger so its going all of the time.
The problem I ran into, which isn't really a problem as much as it is an inconveinence is that the posts are reversed. Instead of returning the battery I made up a longer ground lead to attach to the provided ground on the frame. So that mistake was on me.
I've heard of the gel cell and Li-Po batteries bulging from over-charging, I'm not sure if the AGM type batteries fit into this catagory as I have no knowledge or experience with them.
But for a cheap battery, Walmart is suitable.
