Need assistance valuing a C77 dream

Post by miceli » Thu Feb 21, 2013 4:55 pm

I have a CA77 with no title and I am trying to find an outlet to sell it. If anyone can offer assistance I would really appreciate it. The bike seems to be in good condition the motor does spin over but I haven't attempted to start it yet. I will follow the site instructions and try to upload a picture tomorrow...Thank you!!!

Not to be a downer but a bike without a title isn't worth much. It's more work than it's worth to try and get one when you can buy a bike with a title for not a lot of money to start with.

Not running and no title I will say $600 tops with the caveat that I haven't seen a pic yet.

Price?

Post by conbs » Fri Feb 22, 2013 2:23 am

Unfortunately, prices of Dreams seem to have really fallen off. Low-miles, original bikes that are in great shape are selling for around $3,500. A couple just listed on Ebay. Also check out the completed listings for the one that sold last week. There are exceptions, like when RZGKane sold his. But, they are exceptions

Also unfortunate that prices of parts don't seem to have caught up. If you are trying to resurrect a project, it just won't pencil out. Not that it would have even a couple of years ago, but it is just really hard to justify so much expense in this market with nice original bikes going so cheap and so often.

There may be some guy out that that just has to have your bike and will pay good money, but Mr. Market says your bike with no title and not running is not likely to fetch alot.

Hope that helps. I wish there was better news.

Dream Value

Post by hondadreamca77 » Fri Feb 22, 2013 12:09 pm

Hi,

If it helps I paid $350 a year ago for my CA77 project, no title, rusted, and motor seized 31 years/not running. Pretty rough but all there. I recently turned down another similar CA77 project for $400.

Regards,

Steve

Thank you for all of the input I am located in New Jersey, The only piece of the bike that is missing is the left side battery cover. The motor is not seized it does kick and seems to have good compression. I'll probably try to start it up this week and then put a search on the title. If I had the time to take on the project I would probably restore it but I am just looking to sell it at this point. Truly appreciate the education I'll upload pictures as soon as I can. Thank you
