Another Dream about to get back on the road!

Post by Tango911 » Tue Mar 12, 2013 8:29 am

Found this little beauty locally. It has been sitting for about 7-8 years. carb is a mess, the whole frond end has been spray bombed. Im toying with the idea of sanding it down and atleast trying to match the original red. one side cover has been sprayed too. We'll see. Id love to restore it but i have two other restores going on right now. turns over freely with good compression, all the electrics work as well, so i know she will run great. Too bad it doesnt have original pipes or it would of been an awesome score like my last one. Got her for 1k.

That actually looks like a pretty decent bike. Sounds like you know what to do to get it running again.

I wonder how much gas it takes, when it evaporates, to leave that much varnish behind?

That carb should clean up just fine. Looks like the gunk is still liquid enough to be desolved easily. Should be a real good bike
