Hi All
Just purchased a Honda bike that I believe to be a 305 "dream"?
The bike is very rough and needs a total restoration. The motor is completely
seized and looks like all the chrome will have to be replaced. Im not sure what
year this bike is and never got an ownership with it. Not sure if it is worth saving
but it looks like a cool old bike to have.

Post mid 63 Honda Dream. I can't tell outside of that as far as the year goes. It looks like it's pretty much all there but if it needs rebuilt you will likely have more in it than you can buy a decent one for.

Is the year stamped on the bike some where?

Both engine and frame number are on the left side. Engine number is on top of case just below carb.

Frame number is right down on the left side near the stand pivot.

Let is have the numbers and we will be able to get closer to the date.

Also - there is a white tag on the wiring harness somewhere under the tank. On there is a date which is when the harness was made. That should be close to the date of manufacture of the bike.

Here is where to look for the frame number.

In my case under a bunch of grease.

Year of Dream

The frame number looks to be a 1965, but it looks like it might be a bitsa bike.

See if you can get that engine freed up and get it started. Lots of posts here about that process. If you can take it for a ride then you will know what you have.

I hope it works out well for you.
