C77/C78 - serial numbers and year

I picked up a pair of C77/C78s Honda last week and the serial numbers are confusing me. They were both registered as 1967 but the numbers don't match the serial number lists. What I have is:

Red bike
Engine serial: C77E1001xxx
Frame serial: C78-1001xxx

Black bike
Engine serial: C77E1006XXX
Frame serial: C78-1006xxx

What the heck do I have?????

I am thinking both 100XXXX are 1965 #'s, just not sold and titled till 1967. I have a 100XXXX that is titled As 1965. I also have a 101XXXX and 103xxxx titled as 1969's. As far as I can tell they quite making Dreams in 1967, but titled them in whatever year they where sold. The pre 1965 had one less number. I have never seen a motor # and frame # match but around 100 or so different. Just my thoughts.
