Welcome! Nice to hear of another Dream coming to life. I too own a Black 305 Dream that is still original. Although... not very "pretty" it does run pretty well after carb and fuel shutoff repairs. My seat is black and I am not sure if I would like a red seat or not... but if it came "factory" that way, then I might leave it red. Choice is yours and just have FUN with it! I love riding mine.

Honda benly
Thanks for the warm welcome Jim. That's a good point about the seat color as I like to keep my bikes as original as I can,not sure if the red seat is original as have never seen a black benly with a red seat.my first restoration bike is a 63 150 baby dream, have put a lot of miles on it even on the highway, but hard t get much more than fifty out of it so am pretty excited about the new benly.the guy I bought it from bought it new and drove it to the coast and back with his wife on the back.thanks rob

Re: Honda benly
The dealers were able to get seats of different colors from HONDA for the DREAM bikes.
Some but not all would put a seat of a different color on the bikes then sold them.
However HONDA didn't offer a RED seat for the CB72/77 bike but did offer Black and Blue and the CL72/77 bikes had black seats until 1967 the last ones had Silver welting. ................ .............lm
