Fuel petcock help

Post by hondadiver » Mon Sep 05, 2016 1:24 pm

I could not find any current help by searching past forum posts and I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I've disassembled the fuel petcock on my CA77 and it is in rough shape. The inside of the fuel cock body is corroded away in places. I saw some posts about HD petcocks that can be made to fit on a CA77 but not any specific information on part numbers etc.. I see one kit for sale on Ebay but it will be almost $70 after shipping?

I was hoping someone can help and point me in a better direction on a good replacement petcock. As you can see from the pictures i don't think a rebuild kit will fix my problem.

I am not worried about keeping the bike original, I have come to the realization i cannot afford the original restoration direction.

All you need is a circular adapter with three mounting holes then a thread in the middle to take a regular Harley or other aftermarket peacock.

Either that or take your chance with a used OEM tap.
