Tool Kit & Brake Shoes

Post by RRIXX » Fri Sep 09, 2016 11:47 am

This may seem like a stupid question but does anyone know where the tool kit is stored on a 1968 Dream? I have the original tool kit and the only place I can see would be under the left side panel over the battery.

Question #2, does anyone have a place where I could order new brake shoes front and back and are they same? I looked at Ohio Cycle but their web site and ordering process seem a bit primitive.

TIA

Rick

The tool roll sits on a steel tray above the battery. You may be missing the tray.

Brake shoes #14 on this page. OEM out of stock but alternative available.

Ordering from Ohio Cycle is a bit of a pain, but he does have some hard to find parts and he ships fairly quickly.

Thanks Seadog. I just ordered a front brake cable from Scrambler Cycle and they were very quick. I will bookmark the others, thanks.

Ohio Cycle will hang up on you when you tell them you're calling from Canada even though his web site says 'We ship worldwide'.

I have relied on the generosity of friends on this forum to pick up parts for me from Ohio Cycle.

Actually they are pretty clear that they want nothing to do with the world outside the U.S. On their How To Contact Us page they state "Orders shipped to United States addresses only."

Perhaps if the Manifest Destiny fueled invasion of Canada ever happens they will ship north of Lake Erie.
