Can anyone post photos of original CA77 points and dynamo covers?
The ones I have are in good condition, but I don't think the finishes are correct. I would like to know what they should look like so I can duplicate it as best as possible.
Thanks.

Re: Correct finish for CA77 point and dynamo cover
Most were Not Highly polished.
Points cover was a sort of satin (not polished) and No TYPE 1 or TYPE 2, and stater cover was smooth aluminum not polished but like it would look as it was removed from the mold. ................lm

Thanks guys.
My points cover is pretty dull, and the other cover ("dynamo" in a parts diagram I saw) is more of a brushed finish.
Am I correct to assume any "polished" finishes were roughly polished and never a rear mirror finish?
I did the oil filter cover like that, the best I could, but it still may be a little too shiny. Was that clear coated originally?

Actually not many parts on these bikes were Clear Coated.
CL72 had both Brake hubs, Aluminum License Plate Bulb Mounting and Polished Fenders Clear Coated. (I learned this the hard way when I washed my 1962 wheels with Carb Cleaner and and the coating dissolved!)
CL77 had brakes coated.
I'm not sure about the CB72/77 bikes. .........................lm
