Hi Guys , I am new to your site, but always come to this site as its very informative so I had to join !! I am retired and vintage bikes are my passion. I recently bought a 1964 Honda Dream 305 due to my Dad having this same year Dream when I was a young man.
So here is the million dollar question !! I am aware of the location that the serial number on the frame should be, but mine was never stamped. I am adding a couple pics - one of the serial number location that I even took some paint stripper to it and you can see it still has the factory primer below the paint and the metal was never altered or ground down ? The bike is titled and the tag is a vintage serial number plate from the State of PA Dept Of Revenue (the 4 digit number on it is also the one that is on the title and the year of 1964 is also on the title)
I always seem to come across some puzzling finds, but this one has me truly stumped !!
Thanks for taking the time to read my post - Biker Bob
P.S - For some reason it wont let me add my photos to this posting ??? If anyone knows why I would luv to share the pics !!
1964 Honda 305 No frame serial # ?? Anyone ever seen these ?Back in the day, if you had non-repairable frame damage, the replacement bare frame ordered from your dealer would not have a serial number stamped on it. The dealer should have requested your damaged frame for him to dispose of, and then would stamp the same serial number on the new piece, before releasing it to you. This did not always happen.... Regards, Chase
