Front suspension problem

Post by Veetail » Tue Jul 24, 2018 8:18 am

Ok, just bought my first Dream, a 1966 305. The front suspension is super low, bangs the sheetmetal on wheel hub. Comparing my bike to pics there is a significant diffetence, the hoop behind the fender is only about 2 inches above bottom of fender, is there a way to adjust suspension height back up? Not happy about bending my firk sheet metal every time I ride!

Pull the front shocks out and check for a broke/collapsed spring.

So, to pull shocks...do you remove front wheel, then remove the chrome headed bolts above the chrome cap on side of forks? Then they drop out of bottom of forks?

The top of the shocks are secured by a bolt up by the fender. Pull the chrome covers off, down by the axle, and you will see what needs to come out there. https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-ca77-1960-1 ... 1e9ZTrn-po
