Hi! new to the site (cool place!!) live in South Lyon Michigan, I’m going to start restoring my dad’s old dream and I’m not sure of the year? Any way to ID it? No key no title but my brother in-law bought it new (he put the turn lights on it) and sold it to my dad around 1970?, he thinks it’s a 1969 but my brother who I got it from says 1966? My dad passed away 30 years ago and it sat in a garage here in Michigan since 74 with a frozen clutch while he had it! Tank badges say Honda 300, kicks over but I haven’t tried to start it yet! Exhaust and tires are gone but pretty solid other than that!

That looks to be in pretty good shape.
Its hard to say exactly what year it is without some numbers from the engine and frame.

I'll get the numbers of it tonight if i think about it! also I cant find any dreams with the chrome part on the top front of the front fender, wasn't sure if maybe that would give a clue as to the year?

The chrome accent was just an add on as far as I know.

Well it's not a 69. '67 was the last year they made them. However it may have been registered/titled in '69. It appears to be later than a '64 also. In 65 they made the clutch cables come strait down into the side cover whereas before '65 they came in at an angle from the rear.

That is one nice looking bike. Shouldn't cost a lot to restore... Check JC Whitney for mufflers....
