?????????TYPE 1 DREAM??????????? REALLY?
Ya have seen the only definitive engine/frame listing offered by HONDA.
My suspicion is ya have a 1965 frame and engine but nothing is available to tell what numbers 1966 or 67 started with.
Even the number on the harness is only the year that harness was made. .........lm

I hadn't seen any prior reference to Type 1 Dreams.
180 degree crank with single carb?
The chart shows numbers listed under "Type I" Dream for year 1964, which seems to infer there were some built as Type I (180 crank?)LOUD MOUSE wrote:?????????TYPE 1 DREAM??????????? REALLY?

I've never heard of that before....but that certainly doesn't mean it didn't happen!
When I bought my dream there was a "Type I" on the points cover, which I attributed to someone putting on the wrong cover, as it is definitely not a 180 crank.
Were there actually any Type I dreams built?
66 dream, 78 cb750k, 02fz1, 09 wing

Thanks for bringing that area of the data to me.
I missed that particular numbering.
SO.
Not that I can prove it but here goes.
Looking at the numbers for 1964 and seeing some with 100XXX and the others with 400XXX and knowing that the 1964 CL72 had the same numbering and as I find them there was only one difference with that CL72 numbering.
They had different front hubs and all the other parts were the same.
That said I do find that the TYPE 2 CL72 (1964) always has a 4 as the first number.
I've had One and Seen One other.
Tis been lots of discussion as to what part of the world some of these bikes were shipped to and their numbers.
Well I must assume this DREAM TYPE 1 and TYPE 2 are actually all TYPE 2 engines just shipped to certain areas of the world.
?????????????????????. ............lm
