New whitewalls on my Dream

Post by jerrybb » Wed Jan 25, 2012 12:53 pm

After reading all the posts re whitewalls, I decided to not wait for the Coker's that may never arrive and I got a set of IRC model NR-21 in the 3.50- x 16 size. They do make a 3.00 x 16 but I decided to use the same size on front and rear. Cost about $75 each plus new tubes. I also bought a set of the porta walls from a local moped store, which are the same ones sold for more at some of the tire dealers on line. Got them from www.treatland.tv website and they were less than $25 for 4. They only have one width in 16" but I think they look really good. Not too much trouble mounting everything but it took 3-4 inflation/deflations to get them set right. Have to use a razor blade and trim off all the tits and other small raised bumps to make them sit flat.

Thanks to Jethro and others that posted photos of their tires to give me the incentive to use these instead of waiting for the Cokers.

Looking good Jerry, I've been running the portawalls myself and I haven't had any issues. And for the price, you can't beat them.
