Introduction

By way of intro, I do have a 1941 H-D, but also a 2005 Honda Big Ruckus.

I recently bought a 1964 CA72 Dream from a guy about 30 miles away who used it for a DD for the last 7 years. Since you like pix, here is the for sale link he provided to his gallery:

It only has 9800+ miles, but at nearly 50 years old, it looks somewhat better in the 10' photos than up close in person, but I plan to drive it while I fix up the various items that it needs.

I know these bikes are small by today's standards, but I was in High School when this thing was built and a lot of kids rode Honda 50's and 90's. I knew one or two that had 160's and these were road bikes to us.

"Ace" Harlow was the baddest dude in our school and he rode a 305 Super Hawk.

Anyway, I hope to use this one to just cruise around town as it is mostly complete.

Only thing I have discovered so far is, someone must have used a gorilla to twist the front fork lock into oblivion. I have started searching for this and other parts, but not really sure where to look for the lock, lower chrome seat trim, and any motor gaskets, etc, I may need, so if anyone can direct me to a source, I would appreciate it.

I plan to play with the search feature here for help, but have not tried as yet.

It also sounds like I can learn a couple of things here, as well, so I hope to hear from some of you older members if you have any suggestions.

Welcome to the Forum. You can use the search portion to find out just about anything you will need to fix, maintain or restore your bike. There are several places to get parts. Some of these are Ebay, Ohio Cycle (ohiocycle.com), Western Hills Honda (westernhillshondayamaha.com), Retro Bikes (olypen.com/retro), plus a whole lot more. Prior to tearing apart the bike, I would recommend you get Bill Silver's Book's, they will help a lot, they are also handy to have for just working on the bike. Cliff

Looks pretty darn good for a 10 footer.
