Donington Circuit Revival

Post by G-Man » Thu Aug 19, 2010 12:15 pm

They re-opened the circuit last weekend after a screw-up trying to modify it for F1 closed it for most of the year. The CRMC had some nice race and parade bikes there for us to enjoy.

George Beale had one of his priceless Honda 6 replicas which drew the crowds when he fired it up. Deafeningly gorgeous! Not heard one since 1995 when Jim Readman took an original for a spin around Mallory Park. Plenty of CR replicas too. Some good some not so good, but plenty of fun.

That must have been a great experience, thanks for sharing the pics.
I'd gladly give up a little of the hearing I have left to stand next to one of those Hondas when it was started!
I love the smell of Castrol in the morning!

Hotshoe

I'll try and upload some video I took, when I get a moment, the sound of that bike is just awesome.
