Assen Centennial Classic TT

Post by Phil-UK » Wed Jul 14, 2010 8:45 am

Anyone who attended the original back in 1998 saw an amazing spectacle of men and machines, and Ferry Brouwer is doing a similar event on September 18th/19th if anyone can get to Assen in the Netherlands.
The list of riders isn't quite as stellar ( but it is 12 years on ) and it doesn't look like Honda & Yamaha are sending the bikes from the museum over, but its still pretty impressive.

If you use this link it should take you to an English translation and the links come up in English
as well.

Will you be going Jensen ?

cheers

the list of riders is impressive with many World Champions and industry greats. Should be an amazing spectacle. And the 50cc class is even more amazing.

Hi Jensen

I've looked into it but accomodation seems expensive near the circuit .. last time I went to the Moto-GP we ended up staying on the Netherlands/Germany border.
Also having difficulty getting any mates interested so we'll see .. its the week after Brighton Speed Trials and the Ace Cafe Run into Brighton when
I've got my CB72 on the VJMC stand so maybe that will be enough bikes for a bit.

If I do decide to go I'll let you know by PM and maybe we can meet up,

cheers

Phil
