Bob Currie meets a Honda CB92

Now here's one interesting photo I found on the net can any one add to it,

On the left seated on a what looks like a Royal Enfield Super Meteor with a Cravan topbox on the rear carrier is the motor cycle journalist and editer Bob Currie the great man is no longer with us he died in 1988 at the age of 70, I used to talk to him a lot as he was a member of the Midland Vintage Motorcycle club here in the UK I also was a member. Look at the Reg 123 DUY I bet that's on some swank car now.

A Honda CB92 Reg 566 BHP can anyone add to it.

Center note the ALVIS sign that's the Coventry car company and a glider.

On the right a Royal Enfield Dreamliner if you want to know more on the Dremliner google it.

I live in Redditch one mile from the Royal Enfield factory.

I recon the photo is around 1960/61

Fantastic photo. The CB92 looks like it still has the plastic cover on the seat. Other than the CB92 is the connection just the pplication of fibreglass?

If my memory is correct I believe he raced CR93's successfully and may have been a member of the IOM Bridgestone team in the year the races were rescheduled because of mad cow or hoof n mouth?

Almost there. I think it was Jim Curry who raced CR93s. I watched him race in the early '70s. I think that Jim also raced the Pladdys brothers' 3-cylinder 250 based on 1 1/2 CR93s joined together.

Bob Curry was a bit old, even in the 60s, to go racing.
