I picked up a couple of hondas at a garage sale and was wondering what year they are. SN C781004056 and C781001198

I think you are looking at about 1964 for the both of them.

1964 Engine # C77E-100001 ~ 101512 Frame # C78-100001 ~ 101512
1964(II) Engine # C77E-400001 ~ 400978 Frame # C78-400001 ~ 400975
1964(III) Engine # C77E-1000001 ~ Frame # C78-1000001~

they appear to be Honda c77 dreams.

In America they are CA77's they are similar, but have a few cosmetic differences.

From the sn guide posted here I am gathering mine is a 1964, it does not show tHe CL PREFIX
#’s as follows:
Engine CL 77E 1002697
Frame. CL77E 10027777
Am o correct ?

The CL77 started production in 1965 and I'd say your numbers are for a 1965 Small Brake.
BTW the Frame Numbers you show have 1 to many numbers.
The frame number Will Not have the "E". . ................lm
