I own a 1961 CB72 frame number 12202, which I am in the process of restoring.
Anyone interested in sharing information on the 1961 models. My bike has many parts which differ from the 1962 onwards bikes.

David
See my post under "Honda Superhawk CB72/CB77" "'61 CB 72" Some things I remember: The oil pump is weak; the gear is mounted with bronze rivets which had a tendency to fail. Mine did in Salt Lake City. Is yours complete ?? I'd give my left whatever for a '61 CB72.....but I probably couldn't afford it. BeeBee

Bill Silver points out many of the 1 of a kind 61 parts. To start with I need a seat pan and an upper fork tripple clamp and a cylinder head. Maybe we could exchange lists and notify each other of finds. Shoot me an e-mail off line!

P-Town Mike

I think I have some early Hawk parts and can check next week when I return. I'm leaving shortly for a trip to Mississippi. I think I may have the small plug head but not totally certain cause if I do I restored it a while back. ................LM

I have parts for the CB/CL72/77 bikes in draweers and boxes and on shelves. I don't keep a inventory list so I'll look for parts if you tell me what parts you may need. As you and most others know the 61 bike parts are rare so if I don't have what you need don't be surprised. The hardest parts to find are the aluminum front fender, aluminum rear top shock covers nad the air intake tubes. I don't have any of those here. ..........LM
