Vintage RaceVintage RaceWe had a Motocross race at our Club this weekend, and our first vintage race. There were only two of us, as the BSA wouldn't start. I went for the period helmet, and Steve McQueen smoke dangling from my mouth. While I did pull the holeshot both Motos, the Can Am was to much for the non knobbied CL ! Really made me appreciate the YZ250F!

Good one Vince. Very spiffy Davo!
If gas wasn't so dang much here ($5/US gal), I would ride out to cheer you on. Definitely when my CB is done though.

1966/7 CB-77 Red of course 1976 CB-550F (project over-budget and under-funded) 1985 GS-450S (Land Speed Racer) Great photo Vince! Old Steve was cooler than the other side of the pillow! There was plenty of moisture for those 40 year old universal tires! All of the older riders that remembered either riding with a smoke in thier mouth, or knowing someone that did, were cracking up. Good, clean, cheap entertainment. Funny aside: Someone in my club put one of those pics on thier Facebook page, and some girl commentd " too bad he wasn't getting enough of a rush from riding the bike and had to be smoking as well" . Cigarette definately was not lit, and unless you were around back then, or are a vintage enthusiast, you just don't get it!
