Moto Melee 2012

Post by davomoto » Wed Jun 27, 2012 7:51 am

Just did the 2012 Moto Melee last Sat, Sun, Mon. 840 miles in 3 days on the cafe' CB77. The route included some amazingingly twisty roads, some dirt roads, and some really rough roads. The last 120 miles was down Highway One from Fort Bragg to San Francisco. 101 riders this year, and an amazing collection of bikes. 4 superhawks on the ride, including fellow forum member Deez's CB77 cafe. All went well for me, except I lost the charging system and had to run a total loss ignition and swap out my battery one time on day three. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

I've been on that stretch of Hwy 1 many times, but never on a bike. Always thought that would be fun. I've run that road and the connector between Fort Bragg and Hwy 101, which is about as windy as they get, in a motorhome which was no fun at all.

Once I get my Dream registered and I'm sure it's reasonably reliable, I'll look in to joining the next Moto Melee, sounds like a kick in the behind!
