I use DuPont IMRON 6543UM and any good paint supply can cross that number to what they supply. ...........lm

LM, you use that dupont as a single coat on a bare metal, correct? no clear coat, no wet sanding, ?

As I blast the part with sharp glass I spray at least 3 coats the same day.
No sanding or wiping.
I do spray with high pressure air first though. .......lm

Yep EMO is right. This goes against all paint supplier recommendations but i have been doing the same thing for years & have never had any problems to speak of. In purchasing blast media ask for crushed glass, the finest grain possible works better. Leaves the metal with just the right texture for the paint to have someting to stick to.
