screw size for tank badges?

My '67 Dream did not have the badges on it when I purchased the bike. I have a set of reproduction badges but don't know what screw size is needed to put the emblems on the tank. What metric size screws should I use for the gas tank?

JIS generally is kind of tough to find, but some better hardware shops do carry those JIS screws!

Also be careful about ordering "JIS" screws; there are current JIS screws which are identical in thread pitch to ISO screws.
