Agree with Randy, it's not worth damaging the trim, just grind the nuts off on the inside....

Stuck nuts ? Cut/ground them off with my dremel

I completely agree, its the best to cut the nuts off to avoid damage to the trim strip. the screws on mine were too short to re-use in any event (not sure how they made it work in 65, but those Japanese were crafty) thanks to the many members who helped me with this question. Seat is in the process of being re-upholstered and looking forward to riding in comfort, Blaine
