Need source for good CL77 Scrambler rims

Post by big-b » Tue Jul 26, 2016 12:29 pm

Don't need the hubs or spokes, just the rims. Are any of the aftermarket suppliers Ok. I don't mind after market as long as the chrome is good they look like they should and the spoke holes are correct. I think my current rims are in to bad of condition to re-chrome. I've been having trouble finding someone that will do them.

Be aware CL rims are 19" and the rim profile is unusual so unlikely to be any aftermarket versions around, maybe aluminium could be the only other option, but they would need to be drilled to match the hubs.

GL1000 front rims will lace up nicely on small brake bikes. I have done it as well on big brake hubs but the spoke angle is a little off. good looking alloy rims with a bit of shoulder and they are the correct size.
Good luck

I have a NOS Honda replacement rim for late model Scrambler with the large hub. Part number 44701-273-315. It does not have the flanges like the original fitment. Send me a PM if you are interested. It has kicked around on the shelf for many years but is rust free and the chrome is good.
