Little help needed..Can anyone enlighten me to the differences between an early 61-62 and later 63-69 ca77 seat? Main thing will a cover for later years fit the early years ? thnx

I think the covers are the same. The biggest difference is that the early seat has a closed loop in the front where it bolts on to the frame and the later seat slides on (horseshoe style). I've wondered about the seat trim, if it's all chrome or stainless? Mine is chrome, but i thought late seats had stainless, but can't be sure.

Thanks Paul..I agree with the front mount difference but that is all I can determine,in time we will know,I ordered a cover from siriusconinc out of canada. When I get my seat done I will post a pic and we will have the answer ......JK

Rec'd and installed seat cover from siriusconinc.com, they are listed for 63-69 dreams. as you can see by the pictures,they will fit early 61-62 seats. my foam was in pretty bad shape as are the prongs that hold the cover in place. with a little doctoring I think it turned out fairly well...jk

If I recall, looking at my collection of old seats, it seems the early ones are a little swoopier on the front lower edges. I've never seen stainless trim, doesn't mean it's not out there. of course the colors and logo's vary a bit from year to year.
