I've noticed cars and some bikes with blue headlights. The visibility of them is amazing compared to normal white lights. It seems that it would be a great safety enhancement.
I want to put one on my Goldwing and possibly my Dream but don't know what brand or type to buy, there are so many different ones.
Can anyone steer me in the direction of which bulbs to buy?

Just wanted to add that there are some round headlights for old Hondas for sale on ebay with blue lenses.
Anyone have any experience with those?

HIDs -- or High Intensity Discharge lamps -- available in H1, H3, H4, H7, H9 & H11 type fitments. Google them for US availability, or read up on them here: http://bhpplus.rtrk.co.uk/?scid=10561&kw=5766993 click on 'HID Motorbike Conversion Kits' in the "Categories" pane.mike69 wrote:I've noticed cars and some bikes with blue headlights. Thanks Steve. I checked out that web site. It answers most of my questions.
I also Googled hid's and found blue headlights are illegal in some states.
I guess i'll have check with the local "Fuzz" (police) as we called them in the 60's.
