Starter gear ring clip broken. Help!...

Ok, so I am tackling the replacement of the crankshaft seal and starter gear seal behind the stator. In order to remove the starter chain it was required that I also remove the starter gear from the starter. This gear is held on by a single ring clip that decided to break in half as I spread it apart. Does anyone happen to have a replacement clip? Fat chance, huh?
