bad coil?

bad coil?

my right side is not firing. the wire is good. the boot is good. is this a system of a bad coil? i swapped plug wires and its was the same so this is what i am suspecting.

Try another right plug

65 cb77 superhawk. The plugs are new

Lets test all the parts the easy way.
Open the points for that side.
Put a loose plug in the cap.
Ground the plug then turn the ign. on and use a screwdriver to SHORT the POINTS. (click,click,click)
Ya should see sparks at the points and plug.
If ya do ya have just proved the points are not making contact. (dirty) ..........lm

well you were right. i just figured for them to work one day and stop the next it must have been something more critical. i just ordered new points. i tried a light clean up of the right side but it worked briefly and stopped again.

I use a FINE GRIT wet or dry sand paper.
2X3 folded in the middle and with the points closed I draw it through the points.
I then use Any Business Card to draw through and I'm done. .......lm
