Wiring Harness
Any suggestions on where to find a new one? I've seen some on eBay from Thailand and Taiwan, but shipping is 30 days. Thanks.
Re: Wiring Harness
Which bike is it for? Where are you located?
Re: Wiring Harness
I've heard good reports for the Thailand one for CB72/77

In the U.K., but this fellow’s CB harnesses look very nice. A bit pricey though. I believe he ships to the U.S. http://alans-electrics.alanlowe.co.uk

Good to know. As you say rather pricey, but they look good.

I've purchased four of the Thai harnesses. The bullets and sockets are a bit undersize as compared to the stock items, so have your pliers and tapered punches on hand to achieve a good contact with the Honda connectors. I've never had a reliability issue with any of them, however. Also, the wire itself also seems about 1 gauge small. A good friend (who is a retired electronics tech) received an alans-electrics harness for his CB77, and is very pleased with it. The Thai and Alan's harnesses are the late model version with wiring for winkers. These extra wires can be convenient for running an additional ground from the headlight rim to the frame. At the frame, the starter solenoid bracket bolts are a decent choice, as are the air filter bracket bolts. Regards, Chase
