Looking to buy some decent spokes!!
Hello folks, anyone who might have a set of decent spokes for a 16" CA 77 dream... please pm me if you want to sell them....nick
Nick, if your spokes are not all pitted and basically useless, you could go thru the replating process as a DIY. I did the spokes on my CL77 this winter and they came out great. You do have to bake them after to assure no H2 embrittlement.
Check out the zine plating thread in the Everything Else category for details on how to zinc plate at home.
regards,
Rob

If you definitely want NEW, then I can personally recommend eBay's <vintage_001> from Thailand. I rebuilt a pair of hubs onto his spokes and Union Cycle rims (not perfect but vastly cheaper than NOS D-I-D rims) and I'm delighted with the results.rrtccp wrote:Hello folks, anyone who might have a set of decent spokes for a 16" CA 77 dream... please pm me if you want to sell them....nick
Email vintage_001@yahoo.com for more info; he (TC) can supply spokes in bright cad-plate(?) nickel-plate, zinc-plate (original but not so pretty), chrome-plate or stainless steel.
There's also Buchanans (sic) in the US; others here have their details.
