Working on a '66 CA77 and the speedo glass is cracked. Anyone have just the glass, or a speedo with good glass that's destined for the trash?
Thanks!

Glass
48, I bought a parts speedo off of Ebay. While taking it apart I noticed that there was some kind of coating (plastic?) on the inside of the glass. When I asked on this site, no one seemed to know anything about it.
Later, I asked Joel Levine about it and he said he had never heard of Honda's having a coating on the speedo glass.
Then I took apart another speedo and looking for the coating, sure enough there was something there. I have no idea what it is/was, but you might ask your glass shop about it. As I understand from Joel, he has rebuilt hundreds of speedo's using regular glass, so that will probably work just fine, too.
