OEM Exhaust Pipe CA78

Post by Hamamatsu Nippon » Sat Dec 20, 2014 2:23 pm

I know how tough it is finding nice correct pipes, but if you don't ask, it becomes even tougher. I'm not asking for an immaculate or even very nice one. I need the right side. Surprisingly my left side is acceptable for my use. My Dream is a 1966 and will be used as an unrestored original rider with plenty of patina. I'm holding the line of Patina on my bike at worn paint and dull chrome, but trying to keep the rust to a minimum. If you have a right side pipe , PM me. I understand the left and right sides are interchangeable.

The left and right headers have different length straight sections. The left one is stamped "L" and is about an inch longer than the right one which is stamped "S." If you use OEM mufflers, the RHS inlet mounts just slightly forward of the left. You could probably use an "L" in both sides if you had to, I think they are the same basic shape.

The search is over, I received an exhaust pipe today. Thanks to mike1969 for his generosity, sending me a nice one for only the shipping cost.
